Life Extension Bee Immune Propolis Capsules
What is Bee Immune Propolis?
Honeybees make propolis, or “bee glue,” from plant compounds, using it to build, seal, and (most importantly) protect the health of the hive. As it turns out, propolis can have similar benefits for your respiratory immune health: this standardized bee propolis has been shown to help with the frequency and duration of respiratory immune challenges.
“Bee” your healthiest self year-round: Bee Immune helps with the frequency and duration of respiratory immune challenges!
Bee Immune Propolis Capsules
- Supports a healthy immune response in the respiratory system
- Helps with frequency & duration of respiratory immune challenges
- Standardized to active propolis compounds
- Designed for year-round immune support
For generations, bee propolis has been used to combat respiratory immune challenges by supporting a healthy immune response in the respiratory system. But since bees make propolis from their surroundings, the content of beneficial components varies from hive to hive. The problem is that raw propolis and traditional propolis supplements lack standardization.1
The solution: our bee propolis capsules deliver Promunel™, a clinically studied brown propolis ingredient standardized to 12% polyphenols with a reproducible stable fingerprint of active compounds. This means you get the same amount of beneficial propolis compounds in every serving.2,3
Promunel® and plasma levels
In a double-blinded crossover clinical trial, participants who took 400 mg of standardized propolis formula showed significantly higher plasma and urine levels of propolis phenolic compounds biomarkers than those who received a placebo, meaning these compounds are more bioavailable in the body.4
Promunel® and respiratory immune challenges
In another randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial, participants taking 200 mg of standardized bee propolis twice daily reported a 31% decreased probability of experiencing respiratory discomfort compared to the placebo group.3
The study participants also reported that standardized propolis supplementation helped to minimize the number of seasonal respiratory discomforts by 29% vs. the placebo group. They also reported that the standardized formula helped to lessen the duration of seasonal respiratory discomfort by 34% compared to the placebo group.
